The Bible is not entirely the word of God

It is commonly believed in the Christian community that the Bible is entirely the word of God; however, this notion is not entirely accurate. While the Bible predominantly consists of the words of saints influenced by the Holy Spirit, it also includes words spoken by ordinary people, kings, witches, sorcerers, and even the devil himself. For instance, we encounter the words of the devil in Matthew 4:3, where he says to Jesus, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread." (Matthew 4:3). Similarly, we find words spoken by a witch in Acts 16:17 and by sorcerers like Simon and Balaam in Acts 8:18 and Numbers 23:10, respectively. The words of God in the Bible are those directly spoken by the Father, as in Matthew 3:17, by Jesus in the Gospels, and by the anointed men of God.

Another commonly held belief in the Church is that we cannot add to or take away from the Bible. While this is true for most of the Bible, it does not apply universally. The arguments often cited to support this idea include Moses' commandment in Deuteronomy 12:32 and Apostle John's commandment in Revelation 22:18-19.

Deuteronomy 12:32, “See that you do all I command you; do not add to it or take away from it.”

Revelation 22:18-19, “I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.”

However, a careful examination of these verses in their context reveals that the men of God are referring specifically to these particular books, not to the entirety of the Bible. Therefore, we must understand that the books of the Bible are compiled to provide wisdom and discernment in the kingdom of God by analyzing the various influences that affect our spiritual and physical lives.
